Maintenance Technician

About the role

Our Maintenance Technicians at iQ make sure students who stay with us always feel at home, carrying out minor repairs on our sites and interacting with students to make a difference to their day‑to‑day lives.

• Carrying out minor repairs across our sites
• Tackling reactive maintenance such as plumbing, joinery or painting and decorating
• Completing compliance checks and keeping up to date with policies and procedures
• Interacting with students and helping make their day a little better

We're looking for a positive, team player who thrives in a get‑stuff‑done kind of environment. You won't mind rolling your sleeves up, have a drive to get the job done to a high standard, excellent communication skills, and some experience in maintenance or as a general builder/labourer.

Our residents come first. We work around their needs. Your shift pattern will be confirmed at least six weeks in advance and may vary across a six‑week cycle. You will work within our operating hours of 8am‑8pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work agreed in advance during busy periods or open days.
