Location

You will be part of the Bournemouth cluster, covering areas such as Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ringwood, Wareham, and Swanage.

Compensation

Base salary of £42,921.87 (inclusive of night allowance). Realistic OTE ranging from £43,000 to £53,000, with top performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
  • Handle flat batteries, tyre changes, fault finding, and other mechanical tasks quickly and confidently.
  • Provide reassurance and support to members during breakdown situations.
  • Start and finish your day at home, working locally within your allocated area.
  • Maintain your RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit.
  • Combine technical expertise with outstanding member service to make a real impact on the roadside.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
  • Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
