Role
Care Manager – Domiciliary Care, Dorset. This role does not offer sponsorship. We are recruited on behalf of a values‑led domiciliary care provider seeking an experienced Care Manager to support the leadership and development of a high‑quality community service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of person‑centred care across the service
- Build strong relationships with clients, families, commissioners, and professionals
- Support, supervise, train, and develop the care team
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding, and governance
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes
- Use digital systems for rostering, reporting, and care planning
- Support strategic development alongside senior leadership
- Lead on quality improvement and CQC inspection readiness
- Manage recruitment, retention, and workforce planning
- Represent the service at external meetings and multi‑agency forums
- Lead on complex safeguarding cases
- Contribute to budgeting, financial oversight, and policy development
- Ideally 3 years’ experience as a Care Manager, Registered Manager, or Service Manager
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Proven track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ CQC ratings
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Confident working with families, commissioners, and external professionals
- Experience supporting individuals with progressive or degenerative conditions
- Strong IT skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience in service development, quality improvement, or organisational growth
- Ability to manage complex cases and lead change effectively
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Salary up to £48,000, depending on experience
