Registered Manager – Children’s Residential (LD / Trauma‑Informed Care)

Location:

Bournemouth, BH9

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (DOE) with clear progression to Dual Registered Manager and salary increase up to £70,000 OTE.

Full‑time, Permanent – 2‑bed Children’s Home (Learning Disabilities).

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the 2‑bed service, ensuring high‑quality care delivery and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full leadership and operational management of the home
  • Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015
  • Lead on safeguarding, care planning and quality assurance
  • Develop and embed trauma‑informed and therapeutic practice
  • Oversee recruitment, supervision and workforce development
  • Maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities and commissioners

    45 documentation and internal monitoring
Progression Plan

Clear pathway to progress into a Dual Registered Manager role overseeing a second 3‑bed home, bringing total oversight to 5 beds. This includes:

  • Strategic oversight across both homes
  • Support with mobilisation and setup of the second service
  • Salary increase aligned with expanded responsibility
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding frameworks
  • Experience supporting Learning Disabilities (LD)
  • Level5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
