Job overviewThe purpose of this role is to lead and manage the performance and business of the Theatre services across UHD. The post holder will work as a key member of the service’s leadership teams working with clinical colleagues to develop and deliver high quality care for patients.
Responsibilities- Provide support to the administrative teams and support the Matrons to embed quality governance and assurance within the Directorate, promoting a proactive approach.
- Act as a Senior Manager within the Theatre and SSD Directorate Management Team, working to meet the objectives of both the Directorate and Care Group while supporting the Trust’s overall vision, values, and strategy.
- Support the service theatre improvement plan to achieve local and national targets, acting as performance lead for the service and working closely with the senior leadership team.
- Forge robust working relationships with the MDT across multiple specialities, ensuring effective communication, resilience and reliability.
- Oversee and manage a team and represent the directorate as required.
- Use analytical and judgemental skills to interrogate data, ensuring action and continuous improvement, and support celebration of achievements.
