Trainee Engineer | Bournemouth | £13 per hour+

• Full training on Bystronic fibre laser machinery
• Exposure to modern production equipment including automated loading systems
• Clear progression into skilled machine operation and engineering roles

• Assisting with the set up and operation of Bystronic laser cutting machinery
• Learning to safely load and unload sheet metal materials using automated systems
• Supporting the interpretation of engineering drawings and work instructions
• Monitoring machine performance and reporting issues to senior engineers
• Carrying out basic checks, housekeeping, and routine maintenance tasks

• Holding a Forklift Licence
• A genuine interest in engineering or machinery operation
• Previous experience within manufacturing or a workshop environment (advantageous)
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work safely
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn CNC‑based systems
• Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to hands‑on tasks
