Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client in Bournemouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling,  and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings to assemble mechanical equipment and machinery
Measure and ensure high levels of accuracy and precision in the assembly process
Install and align components according to specifications
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures or malfunctions
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure smooth production processes
Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Strong understanding of mechanical assembly techniques and high-tolerance measurements
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Certification or training in mechanical fitting is a plus

Review engineering drawings and gather necessary components for assembly
Assemble and install mechanical equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision
Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Adhere to safety regulations and quality standards throughout the assembly process
