University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Band 5 Staff Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role involves delivering specialised neonatal care to preterm and critically ill newborns in a level‑2 centre providing ventilation, cerebral cooling and monitoring.

This role demands clinical precision, compassion and excellent communication skills to ensure optimal care and outcomes for newborns in critical need.

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns, including ventilated and intensive care patients.
• Monitor vital signs and manage treatment protocols.
• Safely administer medications and treatments.
• Provide parental support and education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in clinical decision‑making.
• Engage in professional development activities.
