Job overviewTo coordinate and support the delivery of the UHD Macular Service, working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive timely , high-quality care, effective pathway management, and positive treatment outcomes throughout their macular journey.

Main duties of the jobTo provide comprehensive support and coordination of the Macular Service.
To ensure the smooth running of the sub-speciality, working closely with the consultant, and the macula team.
To adhere to NICE guidelines in the management and delivery of patient pathways.
Working for our organisationUHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.

Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesLiaison directly with patients, staff and visitors on a daily basis requires a high standard of care and commitment. Awareness must be maintained that often patients may be anxious or distressed and must be dealt with the utmost sensitivity and respect.
