Retail & Store Manager, Customer Service Rep

We require you to be available during the following times:
Monday and Tuesday 14:00‑23:00;
Saturday 06:00‑12:00.
Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £15.59 an hour; this increases to £16.86 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you prefer fewer hours, a minimum of 12 hours is possible.
Shifts will be scheduled within the above availability windows, and you will receive at least three weeks’ notice of your assigned shifts.
Customers are at the heart of everything we do.
Responsibilities- Work in a fast-paced retail environment and oversee store operations from the shop floor.
- Take ownership of running duty shifts and coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
- Be present for customers, listening to them and ensuring they leave with what they came for.
- Look for ways to improve service, coach colleagues, and give feedback.
- Guide and support colleagues to maintain a safe and welcoming store environment.
- Maintain awareness of store performance and assist managers in implementing actions that improve operations.
- Lead from the front and set a positive example for the team.
- Open and close the store and complete duty cover, ensuring all decisions are safe and appropriate.
- Coordinate the store team to provide a smooth, fuss-free shopping experience.
- Support colleagues to meet daily priorities and take regular breaks.
- Own day-to-day queries in the absence of a manager.
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times.
- Support managers in coordinating seasonal, community and charity events.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive team atmosphere.
- Recognise and celebrate good service within the team.
- Maintain health and safety routines and enforce them on the team.
- Stay informed about store performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Remove obstacles that hinder great service.
- Make decisions flexibly and respond to change to keep the store running smoothly.
- At least 18 years old.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to lead a team and maintain store performance.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with health and safety procedures.
- Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
