Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Children’s Service to work Full Time based in Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £48,226 per annum.

• Manage a caseload of children & families in accordance with statutory responsibilities and council policies.
• Undertake Child & Family Assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection & Looked After Children work as appropriate.
• Complete comprehensive assessments of need, risk and protective factors.
• Develop, implement and review effective care and support plans.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families, ensuring the child’s voice remains central to all assessments and decision-making.
• Attend and contribute to strategy meeting, child protection conferences, core groups, planning meetings and court proceedings where required.
• Prepare high-quality reports, court statements and case recordings within required timescales.
• Work closely with schools, health professionals, police early help services and other partner agencies to deliver coordinated interventions.
• Undertake direct work with children and families using evidence-based and restorative approaches.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action to protect children from harm.
• Maintain accurate electronic case records and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in regular supervision, team meetings and continuous professional development.

• A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
• Understanding of relevant legislation.
• Registered or eligible for registration.
