First for Support are looking for experienced Family Support Workers to join our agency staff team to help within upcoming temporary placements. You will play a vital role in providing assistance and guidance to families in need. This position involves working closely with children & babies and their families to promote well-being, enhance family functioning, and ensure the infants receive the necessary support for their development.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children & babies and a commitment to fostering positive family dynamics.

Duties of a Family Support Worker

· Engage with families to assess their needs and develop tailored support plans.

· Provide practical assistance and emotional support to families facing challenges.

· Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of family interactions and outcomes.

· Promote positive parenting techniques and effective communication within the family unit.

Requirements

· Previous experience working with children, babies and families is essential.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help others.

· Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
