Placement: Immersive Graphics & QA Software Engineer

, the worldwide leader in the manufacture of 3D simulations for the oil & gas industry, is looking for talented placement students to join our friendly software team for a 30‑week placement starting in June 2026.

During this placement you will develop, deploy, and maintain the various software systems that make up our immersive simulation solutions – including real‑time physics models, innovative user interfaces, physical “cyber chairs”, and 3D graphics software for projection domes, large multi‑screen video walls and VR.

• Behavioural/physics model programming in C# or C++
• UI programming in .NET, WPF, Win Forms
• Graphics programming and VR development in Unity
• Web dashboard development in AWS, React, Node.js, Docker
• Exercise scripting in C#, Python or similar
• Software QA using Jira and Zephyr
• Test Automation with Ranorex

• Atlassian toolset and workflow;
  Jira, Confluence
• Source control and principles; SVN, Unity Version Control (Plastic SCM), Bitbucket
• Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies
• Closed AI/ML technologies and their integration into proprietary software applications
