Overview
Commercial Banking Market Leader – Bowie, MD – Job # . This is not a remote position. Salary up to $225K with full benefits.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a business development team consisting of Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Loan Portfolio Specialists.
- Ensure proper staffing for the assigned region to reflect efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with management to develop annual sales goals.
- Assess and report market conditions and activity in the respective market area.
- Work with management of other lines of business to develop and execute targeted business development initiatives aligned with the bank’s strategic plan.
- Handle inquiries and/or client issues related to the assigned region that are of more than a routine nature.
- Review nCino reports regularly to ensure the team conducts the appropriate level of activities to achieve target goals.
- Coordinate regularly scheduled meetings with the team and with other lines of business within the bank.
- May participate in direct customer meetings to increase opportunities to retain or enhance relationships.
- Actively participate in community events and maintain memberships in local, non-profit organizations (preferably in an executive/board role).
- Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management, safety and soundness, and regulatory compliance (e.g., CRA, BSA, EEOA, SAFE Act).
- Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Business, Accounting, or Finance. MBA preferred.
- Ten years of commercial banking experience with at least five years in commercial credit review or credit experience.
- Direct lending and lending/sales management experience ideal.
- Experience with Consumer Lending is ideal.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
