The DSP, Community Living Services/Residential will be committed to supporting the organization’s mission of ensuring quality support services are provided and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are both respected and afforded opportunities to choose and participate in and access community events, activities, and resources.

• Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a “person-centered” focus.
• Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons-served by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines.
• Actively plan, coordinate, and participate with residents in social activities including frequent community outings.
• Instruct, support and participate in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, food shopping, etc.

• Is elderly and requires much engagement and total care
• Loves to drink coffee all day, listening to music, and going to the park
• Is family oriented with a friendly personality
• Is verbal when they want to be
• Enjoys being in their own space

• Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
• Valid Driver's License
• Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided
• Experience in a residential setting serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or with other types of special needs populations (rehabilitation settings, nursing homes, psychiatric hospitals, other behavioral health settings, etc.)
