Position Objective:
Performs routine and complex MRI procedures in accordance with established safety and quality standards and the special needs of patients.
EssentialJob Duties :

1.ProcessesMRI scan sequences; verifiesdemographicsand technical information;checks technical quality of images.
2.ParticipatesasamemberofaspecializedmedicalteaminperformingspecializedMRIscansofvariousorgansandin preparing patients for specific procedures. Reviews pathology, surgical, and other reports to monitor patient progress and provideameansforevaluatingtheaccuracyofMRIexaminations.
3.Constantly assesses patient’s condition and administers first aid as required; assists physicians in cases of adverse reactions or emergencies.
4.Confers with the Supervisor to recommend changes, report problems and provide feedback on improving patient care, technical quality and clerical functions.
5.Monitors equipmentperformanceand reports problems to the Manager; recordsmalfunctionsas required.
Educational/Experience Requirements:• Successful completion of aone-yearaccreditedprogramin MRI Technology orARRT MRI certification
• Current with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
Required License/Certifications:
• Current Stateof Maryland Licensure (preferred)
• ARRT (MRI) or ARMIRT (required)
• American Heart Association Healthcare
Provider
BLS (required)
