Emergency Medical Technician; EMT

Position Summary: Six Flags America is seeking a skilled EMT to join our Safety department. This role involves providing first aid, emergency medical care, and promoting safety awareness throughout the park.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recognize the need for special or additional assistance, including advanced life support, ambulance transport, aero medical transport, or other services.
• Act in the best interest of the patient.
• Gather information, report, and document incidents.
• Inspect, inventory, maintain, and clean grounds, facilities, work areas, supplies, and equipment.
• Understand and execute the emergency response plan, including disaster and multiple casualty incidents.
• Manage infection control, biohazardous materials, cleanup, and disposal.
• Follow standard operating procedures and patient care protocols.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, distributing, computer operations, and data entry.
• Handle telecommunications, radio communications, and resource dispatch.

Reporting Structure:

• Report directly to the First Aid Lead and Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid EMT certification in Maryland, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, balance, kneel, and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
