The City of Bowie is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage, administer, and lead in the design and construction of a variety of capital improvement projects, while ensuring that projects and services are delivered within time and budget constraints, and in full compliance with all applicable government policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. This individual will organize and lead projects through project or service initiation and implementation;

develop and manage project or service specific scopes, schedules and budgets, while interfacing and working cooperatively with other City departments to implement and support Citywide programs, and obtain consensus and approvals related to projects or services. The Project Manager will ensure payments to contractors/vendors are proper, timely, and change management of costs are proper and well documented, and manage the overall administration of the contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or closely related field.
• 3 years of experience in project/program, construction management, or a closely related discipline.
• Some experience or training in budget management, and contracting.
• Certain combinations of relevant experience or training may be considered in lieu of the above-listed qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional Certification
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License; or Engineer-in-Training Certification.
• Certified Construction Manager

Salary: $81,630 - $94,500 Depending on Qualifications
