Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Shift Type: 12:00 AM - 7:30 AM NOC (overnight shift; specific days not specified)

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

• Assist residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs and resident status, communicating changes to the care team promptly
• Provide compassionate personal care tailored to geriatric needs, preserving dignity and comfort
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper techniques and assistive devices
• Document resident care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols

• Active GNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required immunizations
• Comfort working with older adults and supporting their physical and emotional needs
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Geriatric Nursing Assistant training program

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Basic clinical observations: taking and recording vital signs
• Understanding of infection control, safety procedures, and fall prevention
• Familiarity with charting/documentation and reporting changes in condition
• Compassionate interpersonal skills for effective resident and family interactions
