Position Summary:

Provide executive-level oversight and leadership for multiple large-scale construction programs and projects. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for strategic planning, financial performance, risk management, client relationship development, and mentorship of Project Managers and project teams. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with Kelley Construction’s quality standards and business objectives.

Job Duties:
  • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple concurrent construction projects and project teams.
  • Oversee project development, preconstruction services, permitting, and execution.
  • Lead strategic planning, scheduling, and coordination of all phases of construction.
  • Review and approve budgets, cost estimates, GMP proposals, and bids.
  • Direct subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and project buyout processes.
  • Monitor and control project financial performance, including forecasting, cost reporting, and margin protection.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks.
  • Maintain executive-level relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project staff.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software.
  • Review and approve monthly project reports, pay applications, and change orders.
  • Implement and enforce company safety standards and quality control measures.
  • Provide strategic input on operational improvements, staffing needs, and business development opportunities.
  • Participate in client presentations, contract negotiations, and pursuit efforts.
  • Complete any related duties as assigned by executive management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience managing commercial construction projects, including large or complex projects.
  • Proven experience supervising and mentoring project teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Experience with Procore required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera P6 Scheduling software.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Travel may be required.
Physical Demands:

The ability to focus and perform detailed estimating, financial review, and administrative tasks for extended periods. Sitting and standing in an office environment. The ability to walk large job sites and buildings at every phase of construction. Ability to collaborate with field staff, superintendents, subcontractors, and laborers as required.
