Job Description

The Assistant Director of Student Activities reports to the Director of Student Activities. The Assistant Director manages the Downing Student Union which entails 280,000 square feet; co‑sponsors or hosts over 600 programs or events; and provides space for 1,000+ meetings per month. By providing innovative programs and appropriate facility support, the Assistant Director must be committed to enhancing citizenship, leadership, student development and sense of community.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and management to the Student Union's daily operation
  • Select, train, supervise and develop staff
  • Oversight of Student Union budgets, DSU maintenance, and building risk management
  • Direct liaison to Facilities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least three years full‑time experience in collegiate, student life programming
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Additional Information

Salary Range: $46,100 - $53,000
