• Candidate graduates in 6 to 8 months.
• The Surgical Technologist Extern delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services to support the efficient operation of the surgical suite.
• Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, the Surgical Technologist Extern assists the surgical staff in the perioperative process in accordance with the Surgical Technologist Extern’s skills/training and the needs of the Department, consistently assisting the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well‑organized, and safe patient care environment.
• The Surgical Technologist Extern is currently enrolled and in good standing in an approved school of surgical technology and can perform higher‑level procedures once competency is achieved.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (Preferred).
• Currently enrolled in an approved Surgical Technologist program (Required).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
