Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include therapeutic communication, a safe environment, identifying nursing problems, individual care planning, interdisciplinary coordination, performance improvement, and fostering the hospital’s mission and vision. Acting as a charge nurse, nurses ensure quality patient care, staff assignment, and timely communication with physicians, staff, and patients.

What you will do in this role
  • Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs, carrying out physician orders.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
  • Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
Qualifications you will need
  • Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
  • One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
