American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring prior telemetry experience and night shift availability.

• 36-bed Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratios of 4:1 with cath recovery, max 6:1, occasionally stretched to 7:1
• PCTs available on day and night shifts, Unit Clerks on day shift
• Uses remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps
• Documentation via Meditech EMR
• 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM night shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Agency staff float first, potentially to Ortho or Med-Surg units

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required
• Knowledge of chest tubes and dysthymia training required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Care for telemetry patients including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Unit maintains a 75% patient satisfaction goal
• Scrubs required in any color except camo
• Unit recognized with Daisy and Bee award certifications and a monthly staff-voted STAR award
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
