The Quality Coordinator advances a Quality program that promotes a culture of high quality patient centered care to facilitate the elimination of avoidable harm.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs timely and accurate data collection via concurrent and retrospective clinical medical record reviews
• Responsible for case review based on high volume/high risk and low volume problem prone procedures to include surgical appropriateness
• Reports summaries of review results, feedback on potential quality issues and trends.
• Coordinates data abstraction, data analysis and trending for specific reviews and as requested including Peer Review activities.
• Identifies needs and opportunities for improvement based on data analysis and outcomes and communicates findings in a timely manner to VPQ.
• Assists with coordination of the quality programs/initiatives throughout the hospital through measurement, analysis and actions to improve services and patient outcomes.
• Maintains or monitors systematic data collection and flow of information for improvement work groups and committees including, but not limited to restraints, complications, mortalities, code blue/rapid response etc. as…
