Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho Surgical unit night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and an active KY or compact RN license.

• Active KY RN license or compact license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

• Work in the Ortho Surgical unit (30 beds) and float as needed to Med Surg (37 beds)
• Typical patient ratio is 6:1
• Unit utilizes PCTs and SNEs for tech support, with a unit secretary during day shift hours
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedules built in 4-week increments; full-time staff required to work 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Floating required to inpatient units, CCU, and ED for tasks
• Provide patient-centered care while managing a patient load and utilizing teamwork strategies
• Bedside procedures performed occasionally by physicians on the unit
• Scrub top and bottoms required; no fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweaters, denim, or camo; no shoes with holes; long sleeve shirt or scrub jacket permitted under scrub top
• All experience levels welcome to apply
