WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Maintaining the beauty of our trees and landscaped areas.
- Planting and caring for trees in parks to ensure municipal properties are lush and vibrant.
- Watering, weeding, and pruning while operating tools such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws, and wood chippers – all while following safety guidelines.
- Helping install plant material and maintain those green spaces.
- Performing minor equipment maintenance and repairs; driving dump trucks, operating wood chippers, and pulling trailers to get the job done.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma, GED, or vocational school, with one year of grounds keeping experience (or related) preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
SALARY:
- Pay Grade 60; $17.65/hr
WORK HOURS:
- 35 hrs a week, year round (permanent part time)
