Quality Control Supervisor

Supervises Quality Control process and technicians to support and verify on‑going compliance to internal and external quality standards and requirements.
Essential Functions- Ensure customers’ quality requirements are met and internal quality standards are fulfilled.
- Requires constant physical activities throughout shift (except breaks and lunch) such as standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying aluminum products up to 50lbs.
- Manages time, attendance, discipline, workforce requirements and usage to ensure proper coverage and operation of the QC section.
- Acts as “floating” Quality Technician to cover gaps in coverage.
- Performs internal process audits as required.
- Daily inspects parts in production process for defects and keeps records.
- Performs employee training, monitors training and effectiveness, evaluates skill levels, and development of QA technicians.
- Create and distribute internal quality alerts.
- Oversee company measuring equipment and instrumentation and ensure its proper function, care, and storage.
- Support compliance of calibration program as outlined in company procedures.
- Assist with supplier and customer PPAP process.
- Coordinate internal sorting processes to meet quality and production delivery requirements.
- Required to complete any audits (LPA, Safety, PPE, etc.) as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.
3 to 5 years reading details and schematics, organizational, supervisory, computer, mathematical, and statistical skills.

Education RequiredUndergraduate high school diploma or equivalent. College degree in technical field preferred. Prior quality technician experience (3-5 years).

- Walking – often, up to 3 or more hours per day.
- Lifting – rarely, up to 20 lbs possibly.
- Climbing – rarely, not expected.
- Repetitive – typing, writing.
- Environment – Production Office setting, able to work in extreme temperatures.
- Driving – occasionally, up to 1 or more hours per day.
