Responsibilities

OPC Pest Services is a premier provider of pest control solutions with a long-standing presence in Greater Louisville and Jefferson County. We protect homes and businesses, focusing on customer health and property through high-quality solutions delivered by professionals. The Utility Technician is a key member of the branch team and helps deliver on this purpose.

You will…

• Perform a variety of tasks involving installation and rodent exclusion projects
• Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Handyman and general repair including insulation, encapsulation and gutter installation
• Stay within projected budget and complete paperwork at the end of the job
• Perform termite bait installation and insulation replacement projects

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have at least 1 year general carpentry experience
• Valid driver’s license must be maintained throughout employment

Must maintain a good driving record and be able to pass a criminal history background check, a physical exam and a drug screen.

Physical Demands / Working Environment:

Candidates must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity
• Constant walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing on ladders and roofs, reaching overhead, and squeezing with both hands
• Install encapsulation in low light conditions
• Lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Noise level varies by site and activity
