What you’ll tackle- Engineer methods, tooling, and techniques to reduce setup, changeovers, and operator effort.
- Implement cycle‑time reduction strategies in constrained manufacturing cells.
- Troubleshoot machining processes and PLC programs (Siemens & Allen‑Bradley).
- Modify manufacturing processes for safety, quality, cost improvements, and design changes.
- Own budgets and schedules tied to projects; manage expenditures to targets.
- Lead capital projects: write equipment specs, oversee runoffs, drive installation, coordinate contractors.
- Keep equipment drawings and production layouts accurate and current.
- Create durable fixes for recurring equipment/process failures.
- Provide focused training to elevate departmental capability.
- Coordinate TPM/PM along with proactive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime.
- Co‑own PFMEA, control plans, and process flows with the Quality Engineer.
- Support the shop floor with structured problem‑solving and clear standard work.
- Partner across teams and levels to improve machinery and processes.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and document outcomes for sustainability.
- Apply awareness of environmental aspects and operational controls in daily decisions.
- 2+ years in high‑volume machining, assembly, and automation.
- Practical Lean Enterprise experience.
- Excellent people, organization, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
- Comfort with MS Word/Excel and systems such as Mfg Pro and Kronos.
