Maintenance Technician

Phoenix Technologies is a plastic recycling company that takes empty plastic bottles and turns them into a usable plastic pellet. We operator two plants in Bowling Green, Ohio. We are seeking Maintenance Technicians who are willing learn and will excel.

As a Maintenance Technician for Phoenix Technologies International, LLC manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Ohio, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance for breakdowns, scheduled projects and PM’s.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose cause of mechanical, electrical or instrument malfunction or failure of operational equipment and make the necessary repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• Disassemble/ Repair machinery and equipment (gearboxes, pumps, valves, etc)
• Read technical manuals/diagrams to install or troubleshoot mechanical/ electrical equipment.
• Conduct PM’s on production equipment on a regular basic.
• Experience with various hand/ power tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated proficiency to achieve high quality in all work.
• Comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety, and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations

• Experience, education or training: 1-3 years in a manufacturing maintenance preferred.
• Electrical experience a plus but not required.
• Would prefer a candidate with a plastic extrusion experience.
• Follow company policies and established procedures
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow directions, yet able to develop ideas and solutions on your own.
• Able to complete tasks in a safe and timely manner.
• Reliability and can work overtime if necessary.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout shift.
