Receiving I – CMC Group Summary of Position

To receive all incoming shipments and move to locations. Process all outgoing shipments to Distribution Center and customers, accurately and in a timely manner.

Shipping

• Post accurately for all outgoing palletized shipments, with either “in transit” or “outbound” in AX (computer).
• Assemble and submit all shipment paperwork neatly and in a timely manner.
• Load all outbound trucks.

Receiving

• Unload all incoming shipments.
• Perform physical checks of all incoming shipments, verifying counts and ensuring product is in good condition.
• Maintain integrity of Receipt list files.
• Accurately perform entry of all received packing slips in a timely manner.
• Assemble and submit all receiving paperwork neatly and in a timely manner.
• Notify Production Manager immediately of all damaged or erroneous shipments.
• Ensure all incoming product is put away and all paperwork processed by day's end.

Inventory Movement

• Move raw material stock to press areas as needed. Return partial rolls to main stock areas when press operators are done with rolls. Tag rolls of stock with quantity when returned to main stock area.
• Verify inventory placement accuracy by performing physical inventory and cycle counts, as required.

Miscellaneous & Back-up For Other Areas

• Assist with inventory.
• Empty all trash in area and maintain a clean, uncluttered, safe work area.
• Other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
• Remain vigilant for/safeguard against sanitation, pest control and contamination concerns.
• Ensure product integrity. Monitor for signs of contamination or quality defect and segregate/report issues.
• Ensure process integrity. Report potential sources of contamination or impact to performance or quality promptly.

• Ability to properly operate powered industrial truck, forklift, powered pallet jack, stretch wrap machine, bar code scanner, data entry terminal, thermal printer, Axapta, and electronic scale.
• Strong knowledge of suppliers and carrier requirements.
• Good decision-making skills; ability to plan and organize time & activities.
• Ability to communicate and work with peers, customers and management.
• Strong math skills. Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
• Experience and high skill level with CMC computer software.
• Ability to work hours necessary to fulfill department needs, up to including overtime.

• Standing Forklift Experience desired.
• Experience using handheld scanner.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Stooping, reaching, standing, walking.
• Pushing and pulling.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Fingering, grasping and feeling small ball bearings.
• Talking, hearing and repetitive motion.
• Ability to wear/walk in steel or composite toe shoes.
• Required to have visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
• Subject to hazards including moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, climbing and pneumatic drill.
