Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer – Mechatronics  In this role, your primary responsibility is to service and optimize our machines at customers’ sites in North Europe and to assist with installation projects in this region. The highly mechatronic systems combine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical engineering and controls, providing a unique blend of hands‑on technical work and customer interaction.
You will travel in North Europe (~50–60% of your time). Service projects and visits are carefully planned to allow you to balance work with personal time.
Responsibilities   Prepare and execute service projects for our Secondary Fresh portfolio.
Conduct service and maintenance visits to ensure uptime and reliability.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical and controls‑related issues on‑site.
Lead and coordinate local employees in larger installation projects.
Keep in touch with, and report progress to, the customer.
Train operators and maintenance staff in the use of our systems, and provide structured feedback to R&D and colleagues.
Professional Development   Prepare upcoming projects and report on completed ones.
Participate in personal and technical training, both in the office and in the field.
Engage in regular alignment with your manager and the engineering team.

To be successful in this role you:
Have a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
Have solid knowledge of mechanics, with a strong affinity for electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and controls.
Have experience in service/maintenance of complex machinery (advantageous).
Have a strong interest in process engineering and/or food production.
Have good command of the English language (written and spoken);
German is a plus.
Hold valid EU travel and work documents.
Be willing to travel internationally (~50–60%).
