Our mission is to improve the quality of life in our large, diverse community. Team members serve at sites located throughout Palm Beach County (PBC) including schools, after-school programs, family literacy programs, and community agencies. Members are responsible for securing housing accommodations independently; access to reliable transportation is highly recommended (public transportation is available in PBC).
Member Duties:
Literacy Ameri Corps members address the need for literacy by providing tutoring, mentoring, and related literacy services. Areas of service within our program include elementary tutoring, graduation coaching/mentorship, and adult ESOL and employability facilitation. The team also completes varying weekend service projects and provides disaster-related services as needed.
