Title: Controller

Location: Boynton Beach, FL

Salary: $100,000 – 120,000

Key Responsibilities of the Controller:

• Oversee daily accounting operations for multiple locations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations
• Prepare annual financial statements
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making
• Ensure compliance with legal industry financial practices including contingency billing, trust accounting, and client fund handling
• Implement and document SOP’s
• Supervise 1 accounting staff

Qualifications of the Controller:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (management experience required)
• Quick Books experience
• Experience in the law firm industry is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of legal billing and trust accounting practices
