Description
Noninvasive Vascular Technologist understands all aspects of vascular disease and performs different types of noninvasive vascular testing with accuracy and analytical skills, in accordance with BHSF and IAC standards. The Noninvasive Vascular Technologist is responsible for the operation of the laboratory equipment, and for performing and communicating results of all types of noninvasive vascular testing to other healthcare providers.
Qualifications
- Degrees:
High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
Licenses & Certifications
- Basic Life Support.
- CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer.
- ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist.
Additional Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited allied health program, preferably with separate track on cardiovascular ultrasonography.
- Must acquire within 1 year of employment: ARDMS - Registered Vascular Technologist or CCI - Registered Vascular Sonographer.
- Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
Minimum
Required Experience:
5 years experience strongly preferred. Advanced certification strongly preferred.
