Location: Boynton Beach, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $58/hour (based on experience)
About the RoleIsles of Boynton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality occupational therapy services while supporting residents in achieving their highest level of independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate occupational therapy programs and services
- Collaborate with administration, medical staff, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
- Conduct resident evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy treatments in therapy areas and resident rooms
- Participate in care planning, MDS assessments, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation and billing records
- Ensure adherence to facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Assist with quality assurance initiatives and performance improvement plans
- Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy goals and procedures
- Promote resident safety, infection control, and use of universal precautions
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a clean, safe treatment environment
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding plans of care and progress
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, active, and unencumbered Florida Occupational Therapist license
- Experience as an Occupational Therapist in a hospital, nursing facility, or similar healthcare setting
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred
