Business Development, Systems Analyst
Now is the best time to join Johnstone Supply. As a member of the Technology team, the ERP Training and Support is responsible for managing and implementing various Technology team projects. The position is a key driver and team member leading ERP projects, implementations, and support. The role works with various functional areas to ensure proper processes are developed, implemented, and trained throughout the company.
Acts as an internal business consultant for the ERP system and other programs as assigned. This position impacts major projects and focuses on business application development to ensure continuous process improvement in all areas. Our customers are professional certified Technicians and Contractors who come to Johnstone for our product selection, expertise, and quality service. Johnstone is growing, and so can you.
Responsibilities
- Leads ERP projects as assigned including acquisition related transitions and implementations. This initially includes but is not limited to conversion of assigned branch systems to company systems such as Solar Eclipse and for the advanced technology implementations (such as shipping software, credit card processing, eCommerce applications, delivery applications, BI tools, etc.).
- Provides application training and support to assigned areas or locations.
- Develops application SOPs and other related tools to ensure ease and efficiency of use by end users.
- Utilizing a variety of tools including video, cataloging, remote and in person training formats develops and conducts training on ERP and other applications.
- Responsible for management of ERP System related projects as assigned.
- Provides user support on all assigned programs and applications including Eclipse.
- Participates in planning, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the ERP system. May provide similar support on other programs or systems as assigned.
- Works cross functionally to support the utilization of Electronic Commerce initiatives (Web Commerce, Mobile Apps, Business to Business integration), Business Intelligence (BI) systems, as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.
- Supports, complies with, and maintains documentation and procedures. Provide recommendations as appropriate including to enhance technical capabilities of systems and increase efficiencies.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Specialized training in Eclipse software applications required that includes order entry (sales), purchasing, order fulfillment (picking & shipping), receiving, customer returns (warrantee), purchasing, branch transfers, inventory control, and general ledger (controlling).
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology or related field required; may substitute experience on a year for year basis.
- Three or more years’ experience with Eclipse required with a thorough understanding of SOPs in a wholesale distribution company preferred.
- Position requires up to 25% business travel, including local, state, and national trips, by air or vehicle.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player with the ability to motivate behavior and cooperation.
- Strong leadership skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, skilled in re‑engineering operations for the purpose of gaining the productivity and efficiencies from use of the Eclipse System.
- Must have strong analytical skills, be proficient in project planning, and must be fluent in PC/Windows skills (Microsoft Office software).
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English in both verbal and written formats.
