Irrigation Manager (Agriculture)
The Irrigation Manager assumes the primary responsibility for exceeding the expectations of the business unit at all levels. These responsibilities start with understanding our company culture and connecting that culture to the required service delivery model. As Irrigation Manager, your responsibilities include managing the daily work activities and the overall quality of all Irrigation Business Unit Functions. This includes but is not limited to scheduling of work crews, client communication, engagement as required with other business units, estimating and pricing of service work, system modifications and upgrades, and understanding and managing the profitability of each client account and the business unit by meeting and exceeding financial benchmarks set forth.
A positive attitude, your ability to mentor and motivate subordinates and work in collaborative fashion with others is critical for your success.
- Structure:
The context and structure we work within always have a set of parameters, limitations and guidelines. The Irrigation Manager is required to know all operating benchmarks of his/her managed properties. This will include client information, contract deliverables, estimated hours for contract deliverables and all other pertinent contract information. - Leadership:
As the Irrigation Manager you must exude confidence in all your actions. When you speak, you must demand authority and respect. Likewise, you must also give respect. In your position as Irrigation Manager, you will continually build, develop and maintain strong team operational teams. You will continually evaluate your team strengths and limitations; augment as appropriate and train to continually improve skills and ensure proper development of all team members under your control.
You will also work collaboratively with other managers to mentor teams in achieving the same goals. - Great Planner:
Part of being a member of the management team, the Irrigation Manager role involves organizing many parts of a project into one functioning whole. In order to do this, the Irrigation Manager must be able to break down the parts and put them into a plan. In your role as Irrigation Manager, you will be responsible for effectively scheduling work to ensure the delivery of timely services to all those you serve. This includes working with CRMs & FOMs to effectively deliver the services to each client. - Common Sense:

- Manage irrigation team and operations in a way that ensures client expectations are exceeded through careful planning and anticipation of issues.
