The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) must be a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency and mastery of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The role delivers patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing and promoting evidence‑based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.

Estimated pay range: $42.64–$55.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

• Registered Nurse
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

• RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non‑leadership role as an RN.
• RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree have five years from date of hire to complete the BSN degree.
• RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
• Additional certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, ONS‑Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card) may be required by department standard.

Minimum

Required Experience:

Candidate must have at least one year of circulating and/or scrubbing experience in an acute Operating Room setting. BLS required. Candidates will be required to take call and report within 30 minutes of call time.
