JOB SUMMARY

• Serves as a professional leader in assessing, planning, guiding and evaluating patient care.
• Interacts with management, physicians, and field staff utilizing a teamwork approach.
• Assists with training, and evaluation of all team clinical personnel
• Maintenance/development of the clinical record.

• Education/Regulatory Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.
  • BSN preferred
  • Hospice certification preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Skills:
  • One year of recent hospice, oncology, medical/surgical, or home health, public/health, geriatric care experience preferred.
  • Expertise in support skills, palliative care, and educational techniques.
  • Basic computer skills and EMR software experience a plus.
  • Demonstrates organizational, administrative and personnel management skills.
  • Understanding of and ability to apply characteristics of Hospice Nursing: case management, crisis intervention, communication skills, teaching skills, thanatology skills and needs.
• Professional Requirements:
  • Communicates clearly and effectively in writing and orally.
  • Able to work well under stress and deadlines.
