Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Installation Technician
Position Summary
The Fleet Foreman is a skilled position in the repair and maintenance of utility equipment and possesses knowledge of hydraulics and powertrain.
Essential Functions- Work safely while teaching and promoting safety.
- Supervise and work alongside field mechanics.
- Capable of leading and training lower skilled employees in safe and productive work procedures.
- Conduct safety audits and meetings.
- Assist with trouble shooting problems.
- Travel, including overnight stay in some areas.
- Comply with Company reporting procedures and completion of required paperwork.
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
- Cover a large area with multiple field mechanics.
- Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
- Able to travel long distances on short notice, including overnight stay in some areas.
- Must possess a CDL license and demonstrate safe driving.
- Possess working knowledge of leadership and management skills.
- Possess a working knowledge of laptop computers and diagnostic software.
- Possess a working knowledge of repairs on all types of utility equipment.
- Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.
- Willing to work overtime when requested.
- Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle to feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
