Job Overview
The purpose of this classification is to serve as a point of sale person for collection of all course fees and pro shop merchandise, to take reservations for tee times in person and over the telephone, and to provide information about the golf course and/or merchandise.
Responsibilities- Collects green fees and cart rental fees; enters into computerized system; reconciles number of rounds played.
- Talks on the telephone; coordinates tee times; coordinates lessons for Director of Golf and Head Professional; provides information.
- Sells merchandise; enters transaction into computer; reconciles cash; opens and closes pro shop; secures facility at closing.
- Directs pace of play to rangers.
- Deals with ball dispensing machine and call sequencer in diagnosing and fixing problems.
- Transports golf carts.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications- High school diploma or valid equivalent; supplemented by 2 months previous experience and/or training involving retail, clerical and general office work.
- Must possess Florida Driver's License and be able to obtain within fourteen (14) days of hire.
Tasks require the ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and may involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12‑20 pounds). Some tasks require perception of color or visual cues and oral communication.
