This full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role is based in Boynton Beach, FL. The technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment in commercial and institutional facilities. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostic troubleshooting on heating and cooling equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring systems meet safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards. The role involves responding to service calls, accurately documenting work performed, communicating clearly with customers and team members, and supporting project managers and supervisors with technical input.

The technician is expected to uphold Harper’s safety practices, deliver high-quality service, and contribute to strong customer relationships.

• Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction, including clear communication, professionalism, and responsive service.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting HVAC systems, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and possession of EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
• Experience with Maintenance & Repair of heating and air conditioning equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, and related components.
• Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance, including inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and system performance checks.
• Working knowledge of HVAC safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Relevant technical training or completion of an HVAC apprenticeship; trade school or vocational certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to customer sites as required.
• Capability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing service priorities.
• Physical ability to lift equipment, work in various environments, and use tools and test instruments safely.
