Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of their work, seeks opportunities to improve processes, and wants to grow beyond transactional accounting. You will work closely with the finance team on core accounting functions while gaining exposure to month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries; support general ledger maintenance
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Participate in month‑end and year‑end close processes
- Prepare and maintain schedules for accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash applications
- Support compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Contribute to process improvements, special projects, and financial analysis as needed
- Collaborate across teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (internships welcome)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and foundational accounting principles
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Excel; comfort working with data and reconciliations
- Experience with Quick Books and/or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
- A proactive mindset: curious, accountable, and comfortable working independently
- $65,000–$70,000 depending on experience
- 401(k) with employer match up to 6%
