About the Role
Summary:
The Accounting Assistant provides clerical support to the Chief Financial Officer. Processes various tasks associated with paying invoices, setting meetings, and performing special projects as assigned.
- Process incoming invoices for payment.
- Process employee personal and bank card reimbursements for payment.
- Prepare and maintain coffee supply for staff and customers.
- Organize and order food deliveries for group meetings.
- Balance and prepare monthly Common Area Maintenance invoices for tenants, collect and post reimbursements and rent payments.
- Prepare other monthly account reconciliations as assigned.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly Board Meetings.
- Type memos, letters, reports, and other documents.
- Provide assistance and support to other staff and management as required.
- Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of a work team.
- Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- College education or equivalent work experience – Business / Finance / Accounting preferred
- Two years bank experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
Specific lifting abilities required by this job include:
The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include:
