Come join a collegial group of pediatricians who are focused on quality and team-based care. Our hospitalist pediatricians provide care in both the nursery and on the medical floor with total daily census typically ranging from 8-14.
Newborn Nursery: 1300 annual deliveries. Expectation for rounds on average 5-10 well newborns per day, circumcisions, hyperbilirubinemia admissions.
Nursery is supported by a Level 2 NICU with attending neonatologists. Neonatal nurse practitioners who are on-site 24/7 attend all deliveries
Inpatient Pediatrics: 500+ annual admissions to mixed bed medical floor and critical care unit.
Average daily census is 2.7 with seasonal variation.
Critical care responsibilities include high flow nasal cannula, fluid-responsive sepsis, diabetic keto acidosis. For patients needing higher acuity care, expectation is for the pediatric hospitalist to provide stabilization and arrange transport to regional pediatric ICU.
Several dedicated pediatric staff are available to support our pediatric hospitalist team. Our inpatient pediatric PA works Monday-Friday in a seasonal capacity. We also have a pediatric nurse program coordinator and pediatric pharmacist as well as a pediatric cardiologist, radiologist, anesthesiologists and endocrinologist on medical staff.

Deaconess Regional Medical Center has Level 3 ACS Trauma Center designation and is DNV accredited. Big Sky Medical Center recently earned the Montana Trauma Receiving Facility designation, commonly referred to as Level 5 Trauma Center.
Bozeman Health opened a new NICU in 2020 and a new Psychiatric Emergency Service unit in 2022. Other new clinical offerings include Urogynecology, Pediatric Orthopedics and a Spine & Joint Institute. In the next year, Bozeman Health will introduce Gynecologic Oncology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic trauma care and an adult inpatient psychiatric unit.

This is an employed salaried position with additional incentive and quality compensation. Opportunity for a sign-on bonus is also offered.
