German Non‑Tenure Track Faculty (Applicant Pool)
Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to serve as non‑tenure‑track instructors in German. Instructors typically teach 1 to 5 language classes per semester. All positions are pending adequate enrollment and funding. This advertisement is for an applicant pool and does not indicate whether or not there are any current openings. Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Instructors typically teach 1 to 5 German language classes per semester.
- All positions are pending adequate enrollment and funding.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a foreign university.
- A Master’s degree or equivalent from a foreign university in German or a closely related field, or relevant knowledge and experience appropriate to the position (e.g., superior level proficiency; extensive residence abroad, etc.).
- Proficiency level in German appropriate to the position.
- PhD in German or other relevant discipline.
- Superior level proficiency in German.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
The successful candidate will have effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate successfully and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
