Required
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a foreign university; and
- A Master’s degree or equivalent from a foreign university in French or a closely related field, or relevant knowledge and experience appropriate to the position (e.g., superior level proficiency; extensive residence abroad, etc.); and
- Proficiency level in French appropriate to the position.
Preferred
- PhD in French or other relevant discipline.
- Superior level proficiency in French.
- Experience teaching at the college level.

Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to provide high‑quality instruction and to perform related academic duties as needed. Instructional assignments are contingent upon departmental needs and the availability of funding. Applications are accepted on a continual basis and will be maintained in the pool for up to two years. After two years, candidates will be notified to resubmit their materials for continued consideration.
Applications will be reviewed by the appropriate search committee or hiring authority, and applicants will be notified if they are being considered for an open position. Non-tenure-track appointments may be part-time or full-time and vary in duration depending on department needs and funding. Salary is dependent on the number of courses taught and the duration of the appointment.
