Technical Sales Support Engineer – Join Lumibird, the laser technology specialist.
Responsibilities- Support the Sales Team by answering technical questions and ensuring customer needs are accurately identified.
- Evaluate special RFQs in close collaboration with Engineering and R&D.
- Generate clear technical specifications and prepare product descriptions to support the sales process.
- Help the sales team achieve turnover targets and develop customer portfolios.
- Maintain pricing and margins for designated product lines and work to reduce product costs through collaboration with Operations and Procurement.
- Keep technical specifications up to date and provide technical training to Sales Team and support staff.
- Provide technical support to the After‑Sales team as needed.
- Attend trade shows and marketing events to promote product lines and write application notes.
- Develop applications and product activities through a marketing strategy focused on revenue and margin growth.
- Implement best practices in Sales and Customer Care reporting and contribute to priority setting with R&D, Engineering and Operations.
- Forecast product line needs and interface with Manufacturing plants and Management to advise production scheduling priorities.
- Manage information consolidation in Salesforce and other assigned duties.
- Master’s degree or higher in Optics, Opto‑Electronics or an equivalent scientific field.
- 7‑10 years of technical experience with industry‑related products, including 3‑5 years of technical support experience for Sales and Customers.
- Computer literacy, including experience with presentation, business analysis, e‑mail and CRM tools.
- Fluent in English, French speaking is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to deliver technical, sales and business presentations.
- Highly customer‑focused and constantly working to increase customer satisfaction.
- Ability to manage the product life cycle of a product line in a technical field.
- Current driver’s license that meets Company insurance policy and international travel requirements.
- Successful completion of a background check to meet company requirements.
- Stand, walk, talk and hear regularly while performing the duties of the job.
- Travel up to 25%, including international travel.
- Work in front of a computer for long periods of time.
